Host Agents

Host agents for Windows and Linux servers are installed on all hosts as part of our Total Data Protection Service. Our base level agent is called DiskSafe and is used for the protection and recovery of host volumes, replication to CDP Server targets, snapshot scheduling and data recovery.

Additional application aware agents are used for specific applications like MS SQL and Oracle databases and Microsoft Exchange. Host agents utilize less than 5% of the host CPU.
